The “Send Email” feature allows users to send emails as part of the path flows. It supports dynamic text using attributes and formats. This user guide will provide a comprehensive overview of the “Send Email” feature, explaining its purpose and guiding users through each field.

The “Send Email” feature can be used in various scenarios. For example, it can be used to:

  • Send a welcome email to new users.
  • Send a notification email when a user’s account is updated.
  • Send a reminder email about an upcoming event.
  • Send a marketing email to promote a product or service.

How to use?

Adding a send email node is simple, just follow the steps below:

Step 1: In the builder, click "+Add Node".

Step 2: Select the Send Email node under Process and Flow.

Step 3: Configure the email settings - recipient, subject, body, etc.

  • Response Type: This field allows users to select the type of response they want to send. “New response” will create a new email thread.
  • Sender: This field allows users to select the sender of the email. You can also assign the attribute that previously stored the user's name during their interaction with the bot.
  • Sender Email: This field allows users to enter the email address of the sender. You can also assign the attribute that previously stored the user's email during their interaction with the bot.
  • Recipients: This field allows users to enter the email addresses of the recipients. Multiple recipients can be added by separating each email address with a comma.
  • Subject: This field allows users to enter the subject line of the email.
  • Body: This field allows users to enter the body of the email. Users can use the rich text editor to format the email, including adding images, links, and tables.
  • Rich Text Editor : This feature is present in our paid plans, Business plans and above.

Step 4: Click "Save" when done.

The Send Email node will send the customized email when executed in the chatbot flow. You can send to admin, user attributes, or fixed email addresses.
