Tech Providers are businesses that provide WhatsApp messaging services to other businesses. Engati has been included as a WhatsApp TSP (Tech Solution Provider), offering self-onboarding and account management services.
- An email account should be created on Engati.
- It should be a fresh 360dialog account that doesn’t have any numbers associated with it (a new Facebook Business Manager account isn’t required).
- Ensure the number of licenses in the Master Admin (MA) aligns with the contract. The deployment will be blocked if the number of licenses in MA is less than the bots to be deployed.
- Update the 360dialog email on Engati MA if necessary. By default, it will match the Engati account email, but can be changed to create the 360dialog account accordingly.
Customers can request additional licenses if the current count does not meet their deployment needs, ensuring the total number aligns with contractual terms.
- Should NOT be a partner’s customer
- The phone number onboarded will assume the currency set in Engati MA (If USD - with ‘Engati’ on 360dialog hub, if INR - ‘Engati INR’ on 360dialog hub)
- Navigate to WhatsApp Manager > Numbers > WhatsApp Manager
- The currency of the user will be assumed based on the currency set in Engati MA
- Click on “+ Add new number”
- A modal box will open, allowing you to add a new number as WhatsApp API or provide access to an existing number.
- Click "Continue" to proceed to your Facebook Business Manager (FBM).
- Login with an existing Facebook account
- Connect your account to Engati to enable management of your WhatsApp Business Account. This requires the sharing of account and billing permissions.
- Fill in your business information:
- Business Portfolio: Meta Business Account, sometimes referred to as Business Manager account or simply Business account, is renamed to Business Portfolio.
- Create or select your WhatsApp Business Account
- Create a WhatsApp Business Profile
- Add a phone number for WhatsApp and verify it via text message or phone call
- Enter the 6-digit verification code sent to your number
- Review the permissions granted
- Click on "Finish" to finalize your FBM setup
Final Steps:
- On the Engati portal, click on “Deploy now” to find the list of available bots. Select your bot and click on "Deploy".
- Your WhatsApp bot would have been configured successfully
Post onboarding checks
- On the 360dialog hub, the plan should be set to Basic
- This can be verified by navigating to the 360dialog hub and checking the plan for the onboarded number
- If not set to Basic, click on the ‘Change plan’ button and select ‘Basic’ plan and Save
