Setup

To get your bot live on GBM, you must go through verification and launch processes. This means we'll check and confirm your bot and its locations before it goes live. The steps involve verifying your bot and locations, and then launching them.

Engati requires the following details from you to verify and launch the bot:

1. Contact Details for GBM Verification:

  • Point of Contact Name: Name of the point of contact (PoC) from the customer's side.
  • Contact Email: The email address of the PoC for the bot verification process.

2. Location Details (mandatory for local [Google Map and Google Search] launch):

  • List of Locations: We require a list of locations where you want to launch the bot.

A verification email will be sent to the point of contact to confirm if the bot information provided is correct.

Google sends two separate emails asking for permission to send messages:

  1. One email will contain the instructions and the submitted information

2. The second email will have the security key

To verify the bot, the contact person needs to reply to the first email with the following information:

  • The recipient's name
  • Title of the employee
  • Google-provided security key from a separate email

Standard format I, [name of brand employee], and [title of employee], grant Engati the right to send business messages using the information specified in this email. Security key: [Google-provided security key from a separate email]

Next, Google will verify this email and mark the bot as verified if all the information is as per Google's guidelines.

After the bot is verified, locations associated with that bot will be verified. Once a location is verified and the bot is launched, you can launch the location with the bot.

Crucial Details for Consideration

Customers have the option to choose the launch location for the GBM bot:

  • Local: Enables the chat icon to appear in Google search and Google Maps listings
