WhatsApp is enforcing stricter rules on template category misuse.
Impact:
- Since June 1, 2024: Meta started reviewing & reclassifying misused templates.
- Starting April 1, 2025:
- Misuse may lead to warnings
- Rejection of Utility templates
- Temporary or extended blocks on submissions
