Why do you need FBM Verification?

Facebook Business Manager verification is important to prove that a business or person managing a Facebook page is real and trustworthy. It adds security, prevents fake accounts, and builds trust with the audience. Some features like advertising tools may need verification for access. It's a crucial step for credibility and full access to business features on Facebook.

  • Ownership of a Facebook ID.
  • Possession of a Facebook business manager account, which may or may not be verified.

FAQs usually asked -

1.How long does the Facebook Business Manager verification process typically take?

Meta takes approximately 2 days to review the documents.

2. What documents or information will be required for the verification process?

Accepted document types include

  • Certificate/Articles of Incorporation,
  • Business registration or license document,
  • Government-issued business tax documents (excluding self-filed tax documents), Business bank statements,
  • and a Utility bill (for business address and phone number, with the legal business name clearly stated).

3. Are there any specific guidelines or criteria for successful verification?

The documents should include the business address and phone number, with the legal business name clearly stated.

4. What steps are involved in onboarding the verified Facebook Business Manager account to the chatbot platform?

Verification begins only after you have created a WABA (WhatsApp Business Account) for the business API number. For this, the WhatsApp onboarding process must be implemented beforehand.

(For WABA creation refer to the document: https://help.engati.com/whatsapp-onboarding )

5. Are there any specific settings or configurations we need to adjust during onboarding?

To proceed, you must first create a personal Facebook ID, followed by the creation of a Facebook Business Manager (FBM) ID.

Ensure that the designated number that you want to convert to a WhatsApp API number is not associated with any WhatsApp ID.

6. Can we proceed with onboarding the number without the verification?

Certainly, we can proceed with onboarding a number even without a verified FBM. The key distinction is that with a non-verified account, the daily message-sending limit is set at 250. In contrast, Verified accounts enable the sending of 1000 messages per day initially, with an incremental increase. After sending 1,000 messages for three consecutive days, the limit rises to 10,000 per day, and after another three days, it further increases to 100,000 and then up to infinity.
