Introducing the Media Upload feature in Engati, which allows you to share image files, audio files, and video files based on specific trigger points in your workflow. This feature can be incredibly useful for sharing multimedia content with users during conversations, enhancing the overall user experience.

How to use?

Adding a Media Upload node is simple, just follow the steps below:

Step 1 : Go to Builder, and then click on "+Add Node".

Step 2: From the Display Information section, select the node depending on the type of media you want to upload- image, document, audio, or video.

Step 3: Fill in the fields with the appropriate values, ensuring that you provide all the necessary information for the media file you wish to share.

You can utilize the Send Image Node to send images to your Chatbot during a conversation. Please note that the maximum file size allowed is 1MB, and supported formats include jpeg, jpg, png, and gif. To proceed:

  • Choose the Send Image node from the add a node modal.
  • Set up the image URL or select an image from your computer.
  • Save the node configuration.

You have the option to upload documents that users can access and download as PDFs by clicking on the arrow button.

Please keep in mind:

  • The maximum file size allowed is 25MB.
  • Supported formats include pdf, doc(x), ppt(x), xls(x), zip, rar, csv, and txt.

Audio

You have the option to share MP3 and M4 audio files through the chatbot. You can either provide a URL or upload the audio/video file from your device.

Please remember:

  • The maximum file size allowed is 10MB.
  • Only MP3 format is supported.

To do this, choose the "Send Audio" node from the add a node modal, then set up the audio URL or select an audio file from your device, and save the node.

Video

Engati has integrated video uploads into the process of setting up your logic paths on the bot. You can either provide a URL or upload the video file directly.

Here are some important points to note:

  • The maximum file size allowed is 25MB.
  • Only MP4 format is supported.

To accomplish this, select the "Send Video" node from the add a node modal, then configure the video URL or upload a video file from your device, and save the node.

Additionally, you can include subtitles or video captions by providing the URL of the track or using the required attribute for it. Note: that the file format for subtitles should be ".vtt" format, and this feature is available for website channels only. For WhatsApp, the size limit is 16MB.

Step 4: Click on "Save" to incorporate the Media Upload node into your chatbot's conversation flow.

With the Media Upload feature, you can easily enrich your conversations with multimedia content, providing users with a more engaging and interactive experience.
