As part of our monthly deployments, we had a release on 9th January 2023. Following is the summary of the changes:

Broadcast and Channels

Allow triggering paths from FAQs for comments (Secondary Reply)

Description

  • Now both private and comment reply can be intelligent and routed through FAQs for user comments on the business post
  • This will allow customers to configure multiple responses through paths and nodes, and can also randomize the responses

Feature Impact

  • Help conversations be more dynamic instead of a static similar message sent for each comment

Make aggregate download broadcasts GA 

Description

  • Customers can download summary of all broadcast completed from the portal

Feature Impact

  • Help see all the details at once and post download other analysis can be carried out on external tools
  • Calculate summary of all broadcast performance

WhatsApp

Revamped New Message Templates Creation flow

Description

  • In order to improve the experience and ease the process of creating a template message, the template creation flow & appearance has been divided into two steps.
  • In the first step users can define the template message components and add content in the second step.
  • Also it now provides real time preview of the message template which can provide a better experience to businesses creating the templates

Feature Impact

  • This change will improve the user experience of template message creation and guide them on how to create the template.
  • It will also reduce the effort of the Customer support team in training/educating customers on template creation by 40% which today customers find difficult to understand at once.

Horizontal Carousel Message Templates for WhatsApp

Description

  • We are now allowing creation of a new kind of message template which is Carousel message templates.
  • In this, customers can send a text message followed by a carousel of up to 10 cards which appears horizontally on WhatsApp and can be broadcasted as a single message template.
  • This is different from our existing carousels in the path builder which appear on WhatsApp as separate cards/messages and each card has a separate cost of business initiated message.
  • This is available for all the plans and for direct customers as well as for partners.

Feature Impact

  • Sellers can send catalog showing products on sale, new arrivals or top deals and broadcast as a carousel cards.
  • This can help them business create more awareness about their products and services and 1.5-2x lead generation.

Seller Assist Enablement on Portal

Description

  • Provision for the customer to gain insights on their business both on their fingertips on WA as well as on Engati Portal.

Feature Impact

  • Use this as a differentiator to make business decisions backed by knowledge from multiple customers we have
  • Use this as a medium to talk to customers to help understand their business and suggest ways to improve by establishing a communication channel
